Get ready to register for the Kenai Peninsula‘s 2012 “Way Out Women” (WOW) snowmachine ride that benefits cancer patients throughout the Kenai Peninsula. The group raises money each year with this ride to benefit the local oncology patients. You can sign up individually or as a team and are asked to gather pledges of $100 or more per person. WOW funds are used in many different ways including transportation to Anchorage for radiation treatment, purchasing medications, and assisting with other financial burdens that come with having cancer. These festivities will be held February 24 at 5:30 p.m. with a “Meet and Greet” at Freddie’s Roadhouse, Mile 16 Oilwell Road in the Caribou Hills. The following day there will be a continental breakfast at 9 a.m. also at Freddie’s Roadhouse. The first team will start out of the roadhouse at 11 a.m. If you would like any more information please contact Kathy Lopeman at 283-7602, 398-4853, or firstname.lastname@example.org. You can print a registration packet from wwww.givingheals.org.
