The Soldotna Library Friends will hold a book sale from 1 to 5 pm at the Soldotna City Library Basement Booksale Room. Hundreds and hundreds of books to chose from! Choose from many of your favorite genres! Books for young children as well! Bring your whole family and start adding to your home library! All proceeds fund special events at the library. Hope to see you at the Community Library Booksale! Event will take place on July 26, 2014. Soldotna Library is located on Binkley St. in Soldotna, AK. Time: 1:00pm-5:00pm  

Introduction to Fly Fishing Class

Fishing season is here and if you are looking to fly fish, this class might just benefit you! The Sterling Community Center and Trout Unlimited will hold an Introduction to Fly-Fishing Class with Dave Atcheson from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. June 28 at the community center. Graduates of this class will be equipped to set up their rod and reels with the correct combination of line, leader, tippet and flies for fishing most conditions, and will learn the fundamentals of casting and river etiquette. Students must be at least 12 years of age.
